Lee Enfield No4 MK2 (F) made up to be a Jungle Carbine.
5 groove barrel
This has been made to resemble a Jungle Carbine, by who? We don’t know but it has been done extremely well. The barrel appears to be properly floated and the bore condition is excellent.
Originally manufactured in the Fazakerly factory (as shown in the “(F)” marking in March of 1950 (as shown by the 3/50 stamp).
Matching serial numbers can be observed to the wrist and receiver. The bolt does not show a matching serial number but is incredibly slick and well fitted to this action.
Other stamps to the bolt include:
“A53” , “E233”, “BN” – inside the main groove – “F50 B65” and “3088”.
Marks to the receiver include:
“303 Brit”, “U.K”, <- (arrow), D (in a circle), "PB" top of receiver.
Wrist is stamped "IAC Alex VA" which means at some point on or around 1968 this rifle was imported into the US by the Interarms Company in Alexandria Virginia.
Definitely one to come and have a look at.
